BGCHarlem’s Summer Day Camp Program begins July 6, 2020. The six-week program, will provide a safe environment for kids, ages 5-12 to explore STEM, develop good health and wellness habits, and strong leadership skills.
All activities will be onsite at our flagship clubhouse at the historic PS 186, and we adhere to all NYC, NYS, and CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The weekly fee for the 2020 summer program, at an unsubsidized rate, is $200 per week, which equates to $1,200 for six-weeks (1 summer program) or $40 per day.
To provide you with the greatest flexibility during this time we have presented 5-day, 3-day, and 2-day options that you can commit to when you enroll your child in summer day camp.
Please see the example below on how fees will be calculated.
Note that it is preferred that you not mix options at enrollment to ensure continuity of the program.
If necessary, please alert BGCHarlem staff as soon as possible.
Sliding Fee Scale
In addition to the fee structure, BGCHarlem is committed to ensuring the affordability of our program and will continue to offer a sliding fee scale.
To be eligible for a reduced summer day camp fee you must meet criteria #1 and one or both criterion #2 and #3:
Parent/Guardian must be absent from home; leaving your child(ren) w/out supervision during out-of-school time.
Parent/Guardian are working full or part-time, enrolled in an approved training or educational program, or looking for work
Children and/or family is receiving services from either NYC ACS or HRA
To demonstrate income eligibility, applicants must submit proof of total household income (i.e.: paystubs, completed tax return, etc.)
Scholarship Availability
At this time, BGCHarlem will have very limited financial aid available for our summer program. We will announce when these scholarships are available and criteria for eligibility.
Fee Payment
BGCHarlem will be adopting a contactless fee payment process; requiring all payments to be remitted electronically. Once your enrollment is confirmed and an electronic invoice will be submitted to you via email. You will be able to use a debit or credit card. If you need additional payment options please alert BGCHarlem staff to make arrangements
Payment Plans
All fees should be paid at enrollment. We will consider a payment plan on a case-by-case basis. Note that if approved for a payment plan all fees must be paid in full no later than July 31, 2020.
